We leave the lovely Josselin and head south west towards the coast. I think I’ve booked the campsite but I’m waiting on an email and the payment is pending. We decide to drive there anyway and hope for the best.

We are in luck. After dumping everything and filling the van with water we find our pitch. It’s a good spot with plenty of room and a couple of trees for shade.

Lunch is sandwiches again with bread bought by T this morning in Josselin following by a shared apple slice. The site on our left has a caravan in it but it must be seasonal as no-one is staying there. The one on our right is empty so it feels like we’ve almost got the space to ourselves.

About 4pm we go exploring. It’s a huge campsite with five shower blocks but all the pitches are a generous size except maybe the ones fronting the water which look a little tighter.

The beach is white coarse sand and the tide is well out. We wish we had been beach chairs and a brolly with us. We’re going to see if we can buy them in Decathlon before we get to Ile d’Oleron in August!

There’s a boulangerie, an ice cream van, and a restaurant and bar. We enjoy a pint before returning to our van.

BBQ tonight bien sur and an evening spent listening to music and a couple of games of Rummikub. I win both so it’s now 6-3. A relaxing day by the seaside.
