Cemaes Bay

Moving day today to Cemaes Bay on the north of the island. It’s bucketing down and windy.

We stop at a Lidl supermarket in Llangefni for supplies including Tony’s favourite croissants before heading north. We follow our truck satnav app which must be set incorrectly as it’s takes us on a terrible route via tiny roads!! We originally were going to stop on the way at South Stack but the weather is too bad so we give it a miss.

Arrive in Camaes Bay at our campsite where we are helped to set up by the friendly owner. Spend a few hours in the van listening to the rain.

Eventually we put on wet weather gear and walk into Cemaes Bay. It’s high tide so the yachts and boats are bobbing in the harbour. We have a couple of pints in The Stag Inn, the most northerly pub in Wales. By now it’s after 7pm and the chip shop is closed so it’s back to the van for cheese and biscuits.
