Our August Adventure – Mid Wales, Llandrindod Wells

We are on the road again, this time to Wales. Originally we planned to visit East Yorkshire but just couldn’t find available campsites where we wanted to stay.

Left home about 11.30am and landed after only stopping for petrol about 2:30pm. We are staying 4.5 miles outside Llandrindod Wells in a lovely small campsite called Springrock Fishery & Caravan Park.

It’s sweltering so we set up the van and enjoy sitting outside with a cold one. Have to hide under the awning and sun shade from the sunshine.

The van is overlooking a pretty fishing lake, trees and farm land so it’s a lovely spot. Eventually the promised thunderstorm arrives and we have to quickly take down the awning before it’s blown away and retreat inside. The rain is heavy and noisy but we are cosy inside. Pizza for dinner and rain watching and kindle for me and boring snooker for T.             A good start to our trip.
