We are on our way home now so this is our final stop. We drive through the Lincolnshire Wold, but somehow miss the wow bits and arrive at Walesby before one pm. It’s a very rural spot. Enjoy a cuppa and doughnut and eventually walk into Market Rasen. It’s very puddly and muddy underfoot and takes us twenty five minutes. Not much to see. Local church is locked up. We enjoy Sunday lunch in the Advocate Arms before our return walk and a cosy night in.
Today its blueish skies and sunshine for our trip home. We are not looking forward to cleaning the van as it is filthy. A successful first winter trip with many lessons learnt. Highlights have been the empty windswept beaches and evensong in Lincoln cathedral.
