Norfolk Broads – Clippesby

Today is e-bike day! We’ve strapped our bikes on the back of Luci many times over the past two years but only used them occasionally. I don’t do hills and they are nearly everywhere πŸ™ƒ. Finally got around to buying an e-bike on Black Friday and this trip is its debut.

We aren’t very organised re cycle routes so just point the bikes in the general direction of Great Yarmouth. I love love love my new bike. It’s really easy to switch between the various modes and is a smooth ride. It means I can keep up with T even on the hills. We decided Great Yarmouth was a step too far and just do a route around local villages trying to stay off the main roads. It’s cold and even though we are layered up it’s hard to keep your ears warm πŸš΄πŸ˜‚.IMG_20200130_130936-1843x909IMG_20200130_130957-1843x1382IMG_20200130_130921-1843x909IMG_20200130_130858-1843x909IMG_20200131_191058-908x1189

On route we literally spot a tiger sitting on a platform through the trees,Β  which was a bit of a shock. It’s a rural wildlife park.IMG_20200130_123812-1843x909

We reward ourselves with lunch at the pub nearest the campsite, only 8mins cycle ride home . On the way back I enjoy leaving T behind on a little climb, him not so much.IMG_20200130_133356-1843x909

Spag bol, vino and TV to end our day.

  1. Ooh I’m so jealous, an ebike! Must get my act together and get one. What make did you get? I love my electric cargo bike but it’s too big to take away with the van.

    1. I bought it in Halfords. Can’t remember which one but we didn’t go for the cheapest, wanted a smooth transition between the various modes. So far so good. I’ll send you a pic in the next couple of days. πŸ‘
