Coastal walk to Boscastle

Wake up to light grey skies and after showers and breakfast, walk up the road to close by St Nectans Waterfalls.  Stopped off at St Pirans tiny Church before enjoying a wander through forested paths towards the waterfalls. Take us about 1hr to get there so stop at the cafe for a cuppa. Borrow wellies and then track around the site for views of the falls. Best view is seen after wading through the pool at the bottom of the fall.

Quick march back to the van. By now the skies are blue and the sun is shining so we enjoy an alfresco lunch.

After lunch we take the coastal path to Boscastle. Absolutely glorious views of the coast in the sunshine. Route is up and down so a bit of enjoyable huffing and puffing for a couple of hours.  Manage to get off track at one point and end up in a field of dangerous animals, cows! , but luckily emerge unscathed. The path ends up in picturesque Boscastle harbour where the tide is out.

Enjoy a wander around, a few beers and a very nice but expensive evening meal before a cab back to the campsite and a couple of beers before bed… tiring but lovely day.
