Straight forward journey to Cornwall. We have a couple of hours to kill before picking up Jacky and Bev at Bodmin Parkway rail station, so we take a very quick free NT visit to Lanhydrock. House is amazing,  all 50+ rooms of it! No time to visit the gardens…so we’ll have to return.

Railway pickup goes well followed by a 1hr drive to our campsite just outside Tintagel. Manage to navigate T down the very road we are not supposed to take, incredibly steep and windy! In a caravan it would be impossible but manage OK. Site is right on the coast literally next to the coastal path with stunning views. 

Set ourselves up and as it’s early evening we take a cab into Tintagel for a few drinks and pub tea. Can’t see much in the dark but seems a bit fish&chippy.
