An even longer drive today from Bayonne to Bergerac.

We start by trying to spend a €40 voucher in E.Leclerc in Anglet that we received yesterday but sadly the carpark is rammed so T’s dream of expensive free wine for Christmas is foiled.
Lunch is a stop in a quiet roadside Aire about 3hrs into our journey. It’s very hot.
We land at our pre booked campsite around 4pm after a quick stop at the local Intermarché for BBQ food.
The campsite is lovely with tons of trees for shade and we find a pitch overlooking the River Dordogne.

We spend the afternoon and evening sitting outside eating and drinking and hiding from the sun as the temps are in the mid thirties. Mossy stuff is on, outside mossy zapper on, citronella candle lit and spirals burning.

A lovely BBQ of pork kebab and sausage before T watches the England World Cup match against Croatia with me paying attention when goals are scored. An exciting game much more enjoyable than usual by a 4-2 victory. By the time the game finishes at around midnight here everyone appears to be in bed and the campsite quiet and dark.

A hot and sweaty we won day!
