A long drive south today to a campsite called Camping Campéole Navarrosse Plage. We stop on the way to load up with food and drink especially water. It’s getting hot out here!

The campsite is on the bottom edge of the largest of three lakes that make up Lake Biscarrosse, all connected by a canal. A natural freshwater lake with a surface area of 5,600 hectares it’s the 2nd largest lake in France.

It’s a 4* site but with an ASCI card we get a lakeside view for €20. Facilities are top notch too.

A very late lunch with a lovely fresh baguette .

After a couple of hours to chill in the 30c heat we go for a swim. Well not swim exactly as the water is only thigh high eventually but it’s clean and warm and lovely.

A cuppa and a doughnut whilst T continues to splash around.

It’s an evening of enjoying the view, a BBQ, a gorgeous sunset and a few quizzes. The mossies are out so the zapper makes an appearance too.

A top view, top sunset kind of day.
