Well not quite Okehampton. We are staying in a campsite 3 miles outside it. Originally we planned on cycling into the town as we were going to cycle part of the Granite Way. However the site is at the bottom of a very big hill and it’s 25 mins uphill into Okehampton. The location is lovely, a green and peaceful setting and has good facilities but doesn’t suit us. There’s no pub within walking distance and no taxi service. Mobile signal is patchy and the WiFi isn’t working.

We decide to enjoy a quiet night in. Sudoku, Rummikub and TV and then we’ll move tomorrow. After a bit of slow online research we decide on a campsite in Wellington. It’s about an hour away and on the way to our next stop Malvern.
