Slingsby, North Yorkshire

Today is moving day. We’ve loved this site right next to The Cleveland Way plus there’s a bus stop outside if you want to venture a bit further afield. There is actually a pub next door too, handy but sadly not yet open. The weather has been glorious so we’re feeling a bit spoilt and very lucky to be able get away.

On the road our first stop is Sainsbury’s where we stock up on some basics ie fizz and bread, bacon and fuel. It’s then an hour southwest to Slingsby which is north east of York.

Slingsby is a pretty village full of stone cottages in a lovely pale yellow stone. The site itself is small and quiet ringed by trees and field’s with very friendly wardens. We manage to snag a pitch in the sunshine which at this time of year is our most important criteria.

Enjoy an afternoon sitting outside the van catching up on the blog and reading. Home made enchiladas for dinner accompanied by a couple of Harrison Ford movies, 42 and Firewall. A quiet but good day.
