After three days in the Forest of Dean we move northwards towards home to Luston in Herefordshire. It was a nightmare trying to find somewhere to stop for Friday and Saturday, took many hours, lots of data and quite a few phonecalls.
We are staying on a field on the working Ladymeadow Farm. No showers but there is electric hook up, a toilet and a tree lined site.
We setup and enjoy a late lunch and then decide to explore. On the bikes again. There’s not much around here close to us, so we check out the local villages. First is the pretty village of Orleton. Buy stamps in the local shop to send birthday cards and then we enjoy a pint in the blooming garden of the The Boot Inn. As we have wi-fi, T downloads the QR code scanner app and we check in to the pub.
Next stop is our closest village of Luston, about 0.5 mile from the campsite. There’s a few up and downs to get there as always.
We have a pint in a dog walkers paradise. Pub is dog friendly and I’d say 90% of the clientele have at least one dog with them.
Hit a milestone today on my bike….first 100 miles!

End the day with a final BBQ, and a game of spot!
