Ghent

This city is a gem. Full of fabulous lovely architecture, many churches, a castle, canals, squares, trams, buses, bikes and boats and hardly any cars. Many many bars and restaurants, flowers everywhere and too many different beers, it’s hard to find the same beer twice! It’s my second favourite place on the trip so far, after Edam.

We wandered, visited, took loads of photos, drank beer, ate pizza and generally had a great visit.

BBQ at the van, accompanied by  the music played by the huge group of scouts in the next pitch.

Backgammon, kindle, blog writing and ‘Spot the Difference’. Another really good day.
