Farne Islands

Visited the Farne Islands today. Boat ride around the islands enjoying diving and flying seabirds and basking and swimming grey seals and hearing about brave Grace Darling. Amazing.

Weather was grey and cloudy and the sea choppy but not too scary….it’s confirmed again though …….I’ll never make a sailor.

We landed at Inner Farne island for 1hr and enjoyed the National Trust ranger talk about the puffins and terns. Sadly they had already migrated. Island is tiny so only takes about 20mins to walk around but we enjoyed the Shags, seeing the puffin burrows and the bird poop covered rocky cliffs. Would like to return when the puffins are still here.
