Just finished two weeks of wonderful chill time in a lovely villa, Casa Rute, in Guia on the Algarve. We were joined by Rach and Paul. Sadly Matt couldn’t make it this year.

Two weeks of sunbathing, reading, silly games, conversation, world cup, laughter, eating and too much drinking …wine, Sagres beer, gin and the occasional cocktail.

We had a couple of lively nights on the strip in Albufeira and dancing 💃 was involved. Enjoyed many world cup matches, saw Portugal win and lose with the locals and hired a car for a few days of sightseeing around the Algarve… Cape St Vincente, Sagres and Silves and also spent a day on the beach at the very busy Praia de Rocha.

On the way to Faro airport we stopped off at Vilamoura marina for a late lunch. Rach and Paul head home and back to work, Rach starts her new job Tuesday…good luck Rach!!!

We are now back in Luci heading away from the Algarve towards the Alentejo region of central Portugal.
