Today is Øresundsbron day. We are crossing to Sweden and after much dithering we decide to take the bridge rather than the ferry as with a discount it’s about £10 cheaper at £80! A little more expensive than the Dartford crossing lol. We’ve always wanted to try it after watching the Swedish TV series The Bridge with the wonderful Saga.
The five mile bridge over the Oresund Strait is the sixth longest in Europe, road on top and railway underneath. We enter a 2.5 mile tunnel first to take us to a a small island in the strait where the bridge begins. It was mildly exciting.

It’s a short journey to Lund and the Källbybadet pool and camping. After showers and lunch we hop onto the bus into Lund the second oldest city in Sweden. Our guide says possibly Sweden’s loveliest too but we are a bit underwhelmed. There’s a lot of road construction happening in the centre which doesn’t help.

The cathedral is closed as its hosting a wedding so we wander around its cobbled streets getting lost but eventually finding the gorgeous University Library. On the way we see a second wedding party enjoying fizz in a park whilst the bride and groom have photos taken. It’s raining again so we find a bar for a beer before heading back to the van.

Fish and chips for dinner and more of season 4 of Yellowstone.
A one off the bucket list day.
