A slow start to a much greyer day. Quite the contrast to yesterday. We spend far too much time trying to decide what we are doing and where we are going tomorrow. Eventually we make a decision and get ourselves organised to walk into Barmouth.
It’s cold, damp and windy so we layer up to keep warm and dry. The waves in Barmouth Bay are much wilder today. No stops this time as we stroll to the end of the promenade and check out the marina and the bridge crossing the River Mawddach estuary.

We enjoy a half in The Last Inn followed by another one around the corner in Myrddin’s tap room aka Merlin. This place was Gwynedd’s Camra pub of the year and cider pub of the year for 2024. Obviously I drink prosecco !

Wandering through the town centre we stop at The Tillman before heading to The Royal Hotel again where we enjoy some tasty pub food.

The sea is wild as we walk back along the promenade.

Back in the van we watch the latest episode of Shetland on iPlayer which makes me cry.
Another enjoyable day but we missed the sunshine.
