Hartland, North Devon

It’s just over a two hour journey to Hartland, close to the North Devon coast. It’s a rainy and blustery drive.

The campsite is a little more compact than we’re used to. It wouldn’t normally be a problem as the pitches are hardstanding and grass but the recent rain has turned the grass very waterlogged and muddy so we are concerned about getting stuck whilst manoeuvring. Eventually we get pitched up but by then are ready for a beer and it’s early afternoon! Lovely views from our pitch though.

Lunch in the van followed by a bit of r&r as it’s raining.

Eventually we walk into Hartland which is literally five minutes down the road. We start with a drink in the King’s Head followed by dinner in The Hart Inn and a final drink in the Anchor. We do like a pub crawl.

A very relaxed local!

Back to the van to finish off Hitch and then watch The Devil Wears Prada, obviously my pick!
