Raining all morning so we chill until eventually it stops.
Walk to the Castle, about a mile away. It’s impressive but more like a very grand house with added walls, turrets and arches. It was the 58 room summer home of Clan Kennedy from the 18C, remodeled by Robert Adams. Enjoy a guided tour followed by a walk around the extensive grounds including a deer park with a very loud bull with impressive antlers and a herd of llamas.
On the walk home we see a great view of Ailsa Craig island, source of the best curling stone granite in the world!
Between movies, after dark, we take a look at the unusual entrance gates and lights.
