Hagley, Worcestershire

We leave an overcast but warm Minehead and head north east. Lots of slow narrow A roads before we hit the M5. We are staying at Wassel Grove Campsite not far off that motorway. It’s a basic site with no electricity but lovely views.

Relying on gas for the fridge and the cooker we find it’s not working. Thinking that we’ve run out, T goes out and buys another one whilst I sit in the shade at the campsite. It’s still not working so we have sandwiches and whatever we can eat out of fridge without cooking, which isn’t loads. We consider driving home but it’s now 5pm and it’d be another two to three hours at this time of day.

A quiet last evening, reading and drinking some beer which is luckily still cold. Home tomorrow.

A disappointing end but we are thankful it didn’t happen when we were in Scandinavia.

A fab ten day trip of mostly sunshine days in the south and on the coast.
