Charred bacon, pancakes and maple syrup for breakfast followed by some time in the sunshine.
Heading for the beach we walk back down to Stoke Fleming, passing the Green Dragon Inn again. We visit St Peter’s the local church opposite the pub before walking down the coastal path, crossing the A379 and then down a forest trail to Blackpool Sands. It’s less than 30 minutes walk all downhill.

It’s Sunday and the sun is shining so the beach is packed. The sand is actually very small stones but that doesn’t seem to be stopping anyone enjoying a day out.

We eat our sandwiches and sit in the sunshine a while. The queue at the cafe is long so ice cream or a cold beer are on hold.

Back up the hill for 20 sweaty minutes and we arrive at the pub again for a couple of pints. It’s quieter today as the afternoon food service finishes at 3pm.

The sun is still out when we land back at the van and we enjoy fish and chips sitting outside.
We finish the second season of Annika to end our day.
A beach day without sand but lots of sunshine.
