It’s overcast but not raining so we get up and on the road. Our first stop is a viewing point for the odd looking Storseisundet Bridge for a close up before heading across. We can see the rain clouds coming our way.

It took six years to build and according to Wiki there were twelve cyclones during construction. It’s 260m long and 23m high. The road to it is a huge curve and then at the top, the bridge appears to vanish as if the vehicles have fallen off the other side!

We walk further around the point to see a side view and then it looks like a normal bridge albeit a high one with a nice smooth curving road over the top.

The heavy rain we saw in the distance arrives so we stay put inside the van and wait it out for a couple of hours and I catch up with my blog.

Up and over the steep and narrow bridge we go and it’s done in a flash but time enough for many photos.

We stop at Vervang for a few supplies and then it’s back on the road again towards Bud. This end isn’t quite as spectacular as the start passing through lots of lovely villages with more distant views of the sea but we find a great spot for lunch overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and even get to see a seal in the distance.

In Bud we empty the grey and black waste and refill our fresh water tank. After checking out park4night our favourite app to find all things motorhome related we decide to have a look at a campsite in Bud.

It’s a nice spot overlooking the ocean with a small marina. We get a good pitch overlooking the water and are excited by the free laundry facilities. It’s raining again of course so sitting outside isn’t an option. Three laundry wash and dry loads later and a bit of cleaning and we are set again. Chicken fried rice a la T for dinner and the end of Season one of Deadwind and then some of GOT Series five. Jon Snow is dead!!

We wander out just after 11pm to catch a golden sunset.

A good day despite the challenging Norwegian weather.
