Who knew that supermarkets don’t open on Sundays in Germany? We didn’t. We are moving to Denmark tomorrow and after checking supermarket prices online we reluctantly decide to stay another day here so we can shop in Germany tomorrow.

We wake to rain and it continues like that on and off. We manage to sit outside for a while with a tasty brunch but head back in again at the sound of thunder and then it really tips it down.

Around 5pm we head out and take the ferry across the canal for a meal at Betty’s cafe. Burgers all round and a beer.

Spot a pair of Egyptian geese on the way back.

Back across the canal as there’s nothing else to see this side we revisit Gundlachs Strandbar and hide further inside this time as it’s windy and a bit chilly.

Back to the van for a bit of Netflix and bed.
