The Llain Las Touring Caravan site is a little gem. Small, surrounded by fields with great views and only 15 mins down to Abersoch village. Definitely better than our original pick which was not hard standing or level.

We walk down to the beach around midday. The tide is out and the sand is very wet and spongy. A tractor pulling a boat in a trailer has to drive quite far out to launch it.

Hunting for a fridge magnet and cuddly toy for Elijah our grandson, we pass store after store of designer beach gear and the odd surf shop. Eventually we find a single shop selling what we need and buy a cute seagull.
We enjoy a lovely lunch sitting outside the St Tudwals Inn mostly in the sunshine. A final drink in the Vaynol before heading back to the van in time to miss the rain, just after 4pm.

A ding meal followed by a sickly sweet movie on Netflix for our final evening.
Homeward bound Sunday after a lovely week on the Llŷn Peninsula, a gorgeous part of the world even more lovely bathed in sunshine.
A great first trip of the year.
