Morfar Nefyn

First trip of the year in the van !!! Looking forward to a visit to the Llŷn Peninsula in North Wales.

We are starting our trip in Morfar Nefyn. It’s a three hour plus drive from home. We only picked up Luci on Sunday afternoon so it’s a bit of a rush to get her ready for Monday but we get there. Slight snafu Monday morning with the clean water tank but T sorts it out.

The weather in Morfar Nefyn is lovely. Blue skies and sunshine. The journey is straight forward.

We land in Ty’n Y Coed touring park around 2:30pm and enjoy a quick lunch before wandering out.

View from our pitch

The Ty Coch Inn is our destination. It’s a pub that is reached by foot in the village of Porthdinllaen near Morfa Nefyn, Gwynedd on the north coast of the Llŷn Peninsula. Literally on the beach.

The sun is shining as we walk through Morfar Nefyn, down to the beach and along the sand and pebbles to the Inn. It’s busy with families playing cricket, soaking up the sunshine, golfers enjoying a pint, the odd boat launch and a few paddle boarders.

A really lovely spot to just enjoy the beautiful sunny day.

After a couple of drinks the sun is starting to go down and the beach empties. We walk up the hill from the pub across the golf course to the club house enjoying the fantastic coastal views. A drink on the terrace in the sunshine before our walk back to the campsite.

Dinner in the van cooked by T.

A fight with the TV to try and find some channels that we lose but as the WiFi is free Netflix is available. Fall asleep watching a Harlen Coben series that we are half way through.

An excellent start to our trip. Sunshine makes the views and our day sparkle.
