The skies are bluer today as we walk into Falaise. Our first stop is the castle but we first have to pass an enormous statue of William The Conqueror standing in front of the town hall.

After paying our entrance fee we are given an iPad that we can use in each room bringing them to life back in the 12th century. It’s a fab tour up and down lots of stairs spiral and otherwise into many different rooms learning about him and his descendants. William is King Charles III’s 28 times Great Grandfather! Two hours have flown by. Definitely worth a visit.

Next stop is the Église de la Trinité de Falaise followed by the Église Saint-Gervais-Saint-Protais which is in poor condition.

Time for a couple of beers before we head back to the van for an evening of netflix.
