Glenveagh National Park, Dunlewy,  Bunbeg, Dungloe and Sliabh Liag

Heading south and west today to Sliabh Liag. It’s a longer drive but we’re in no hurry.

It’s a lovely drive on a narrow road through countryside which is a myriad of different greens, mountains, loughs, peatbogs, coastline, beaches and forest.

We stop in Glenveagh fleetingly to take some photos but enjoy lunch in Dunlewy at a beautiful viewpoint overlooking a valley. In Bunbeg we wander the beach for a bit and in Dungloe T buys milk but we don’t really see the place.

Just past Killybegs we stop at another viewpoint with awesome views across Donegal Bay. Enjoy a cuppa in the sunshine and it’s just beautiful.

Onto Sliabh Liag and the camping where we are booked in for a couple of nights. It’s a narrow and steep access road but we get there ok. Flat pitches and good facilities. Hot showers first and then talk of going the pub but I’m tired so we eat in and watch TV and read and I spend ages catching up with this blog. It’s a mobile blackspot so very limited WiFi so very slow going and definitely no Netflix here. We survive.

A long but scenic day.
