Midday bus for us today into Lymington. It’s market day and we wander down the high street enjoying the wide variety of craft and art stalls alongside clothes and food. It’s sunny and busy and has a vibrant vibe.

T buys himself a checked shirt reduced from £40 to a tenner.

At the bottom of the high street a cobbled lane lined with tourist shops and restaurants leads us to the busy harbour. It’s full of yachts and boats and squawking black headed gulls fighting over scraps.

As we are at the seaside we decide on fish bites and chips bought at the bottom of the high street which we eat at the harbour trying to avoid our food being stolen by seagulls. The Wight Link ferry is in the harbour this time. It’s about £300 return for the 40 minute ferry trip to the Isle of Wight! So busy scoffing our food I forgot to take a photo. We notice that some of the small boats moored here are in need of repairs.

Time for a pint in the Kings Head before heading back up towards the bus stop with a short pitstop in a local churchyard and then a twenty minute journey back to the van. The bus driver doesn’t stop at our bus stop even though we pushed the stop request bell but luckily we manage to get him to stop after a few hundred yards. Its a narrow and fast road with no pavements, close hedges and lots of traffic so not pleasant to walk down.

We say hello to our four legged neighbours who are disappointed we didn’t bring treats. Back in the van it takes us a while to sort out where we want to stop tomorrow and book a campsite. In the end we land on Broadway which is supposed to be a gem in Worcestershire.

Home cooked spag bol a la T for dinner and telly to end another enjoyable day.
