A quiet day for me today but it’s a little more active for T.
He starts the day with a run along the river.

A bit later he walks up the hill and visits Chateau-Gaillard. Considered cutting edge military architecture in its day, the Château-Gaillard was constructed in less than two years 1196-1198. Richard the Lionheart ruled a kingdom through his marriage that stretched from the Pyrenees to the Scottish borders, encompassing England, Normandy, Aquitaine, Poitiers, Maine and Anjou! He had the castle built to protect his Norman possessions, and its capital, Rouen. Today it’s a ruin as in the 16th century the walls were used to build the surrounding villages.

It rains again in the afternoon but brightens up later. Dinner in the van, Cajun dirty rice a la T, some route planning and booking of ferries followed by TV.
