Recovered from our interailing adventure we head out early for our Sunday drive to Dover. We’ve decided to do it in one go and stop in Dover overnight ready for our 9:30am ferry to Calais.

It’s a long but easy journey with a 30 minute stop off on the M1 for a butty we brought from home. Six hours and we are in Dover.

Our home for the night is a free car park about one mile from the port. We can see Dover Castle. We are not alone as there’s five other motorhomes parked up. After a snack and a cuppa whilst watching Alcaraz beat Djokovic at Wimbledon, go Carlos! we wander into the town to try out the local pubs but we’re not loving them.

Back at the van it’s an Asda curry meal for dinner and a DVD followed by an early night.
