Another lovely Cornish day. After sausage butties we wander into Padstow again. It’s a lot busier today.
Our first stop is the National Lobster Hatchery where we are entertained by learning about its lifecycle …and that they can live to 100+! We briefly consider adopting one for Sessies birthday 😬.
We wander along the harbour towards the War Memorial where we have great views of Rock’s beaches. Walk up the hill away from the harbour to Prideaux Place where we enjoy watching rutting deer, the house bid closed. Next stop is the rather lovely St Petroc Church and graveyard before we head back down to the harbour.
Lunch is Cornish pasties again, better than the ones in Tintagel but we’re not wowed.
We take the ferry across the estuary to Rock. It’s only a 10 minute trip. Everyone seems to have dogs or children with them. Take a lovely walk along yellow sandy beaches before heading back to van.
After a rest we walk into Padstow and enjoy a lovely fishy meal at Rick Stein’s Seafood Cafe to end another fun sunshine filled day in Cornwall.
